ConnecZen

A daily companion for reflection

What It Is

ConnecZen is an AI companion for daily reflection - across voice and text, on Telegram and in the browser. Talk to it in a real-time voice call or send a voice note, and it listens, reflects, and quietly surfaces the patterns in what you share: your recurring themes, the people who matter, where your energy actually goes - so you can see yourself more clearly over time.

The same companion also works for shared spaces. A family can turn their cooking voice notes into a living recipe book. A team can capture decisions, action items, and blockers from the way they already talk.

Meet it where you are - no new habit to learn. Just talk.

The Thread That Led Here

ConnecZen is the convergence of several threads in my career:

Visualization research - At Architexa (MIT spin-off), I built tools that helped developers see the hidden structure in complex codebases. I learned that people don't change what they can't see.

Behavior change research - In 2021, I started building Vacchan, exploring how visualization tools and accountability partners help people modify their behavior. The research showed: change doesn't happen in isolation. We need mirrors. We need witnesses.

Coaching practice - Working one-on-one, I found the same pattern again and again: people don't need more advice. They need space to hear themselves think.

ConnecZen brings these together - an AI that acts as a reflective mirror, helping you see your own patterns over time.

Why I'm Building It

After years of coaching, I noticed something: the magic isn't in the frameworks or techniques. It's in having someone genuinely listen while you think out loud.

But not everyone has access to a coach. And you can't always call a friend at 11pm when something's on your mind.

I wanted to create something that captures that quality of presence - AI that listens more than it talks, that reflects instead of advising, that helps you find your own answers.

How It Works

  1. Talk or type - a live voice call in the browser, a voice note on Telegram, or a quick text
  2. It reflects back - listening more than it talks, helping you hear yourself think
  3. It remembers and maps - over time it surfaces your recurring themes, the people in your life, and where your attention goes
  4. Check in your way - morning intentions, evening reflections, or whenever something's on your mind

What Makes It Different

  • Reflections over advice - Grounded in Human Givens principles. It won't tell you what to do. It helps you discover what you already know.
  • Real voice, in real time - Speak to it in a live voice call, or drop a voice note. Speaking is closer to thinking out loud than typing.
  • Meet it where you are - Lives in Telegram, where you already are, with a web app when you want the fuller picture.
  • Personal or shared - Reflect on your own, or open a shared space - a family recipe book, a team's working memory.
  • Memory that matters - It remembers your journey across conversations, not just your last message, and turns it into a picture of your life you can actually see.
  • Private by design - Confidential by default, and not tied to any single AI provider.
  • Natural endings - Doesn't manufacture questions to keep you engaged. Lets conversations end when they're complete.

Current Status

Live in private beta. Recently shipped:

  • Real-time voice calls in the browser (plus voice notes and chat on Telegram)
  • Personal reflection spaces - themes, the people in your life, and a "wheel of life" view of where your energy goes
  • Shared spaces - turn family cooking voice notes into a recipe book; capture a team's decisions and blockers from how they already talk

Currently refining the engine that surfaces patterns from your reflections, and multilingual support for voice.

The Vision

I want everyone to have access to a thoughtful presence that helps them understand themselves better - not a therapist replacement, but a daily companion for reflection.

The same thread I've followed my whole career: making the invisible visible. This time, the complex system is you.
